Delete your Vinea account

You can permanently delete your Vinea account and the data associated with it at any time, either in the app or on this page.

In the app

  1. Open Vinea and sign in.
  2. Tap the picture at the top of Today to open Me, then choose Account & settings and scroll to Delete account.
  3. Tap Delete account, enter your password and confirm.

On this page

Forgotten your password? Reset it from the sign-in screen in the app first, or email claudeappiahsasraku@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you within 30 days.

What is deleted

Immediately and permanently:

  • your account: email address, display name, password, date of birth and preferences;
  • your community profile, profile photo and verification records;
  • your posts, reflections, teachings and the photos attached to them, and any music you uploaded;
  • your prayer intentions, and the record of prayers offered for them;
  • the record of prayers you finished, which shows your perseverance in prayer;
  • the record of what you viewed and played, which counts you once a day towards a creator's totals;
  • your reactions, follows, blocks, group and communal novena memberships;
  • your sign-in sessions and the notification tokens for your devices.

What is kept

  • Your handle, as text only, so that no one else can take it and impersonate you. Nothing links it to you.
  • Reports you made about others, detached from you.
  • Daily totals of views and plays on other people's work, which are bare counts with nothing linking them to you.
  • Moderation records and appeals, for up to seven years, as required to keep the community safe and to answer legal requests.

Bookmarks, novena progress and reminders are stored only on your device; deleting the app removes them.
